Eric Edmund Barnett

Mr. Eric E.
Barnett is a Chief Executive Officer at SGKBB Ltd. and a Chief Executive Officer at SG Hambros Bank Ltd. One of his key objectives as Chief Executive Officer is developing cooperation between the two businesses ahead of the planned integration of Kleinwort Benson in the UK and Kleinwort Benson Channel Islands Holdings Limited.
Mr. Barnett started his banking career in 1983 at NatWest in London as a graduate trainee.
In 1986 he joined Hambros Bank Limited and undertook a variety of roles in investment banking and acquisition finance.
He then moved to the Guernsey office in 1996 as Head of Private Banking, and continued in this role following Societe Generale’s acquisition of Hambros Bank Limited in 1998 before moving back to London in 2000.
Mr. Barnett became Societe Generale Private Banking Hambros Chief Executive Officer in 2007.
Before this, he was Group Head of Private Banking and Managing Director of the London office at Societe Generale Hambros.
He was responsible for developing the Societe Generale Private Banking commercial and marketing strategies.
Mr. Barnett has an MBA from the City University Business School in London.
