Jeffery Edward Christian

Mr. Jeffery E.
Christian is a Partner & Chief Risk Officer at Avalon Global Asset Management LLC.
He joined Avalon Global in March 2013 and also serves as the firm's Head of Trading.
Prior to joining Avalon, he was a Managing Director at Deutsche Bank (2012 to 2013) where he was responsible for the equity derivatives sales business in the Western Region.
Previously, Mr. Christian served as a Managing Director and Head of West Coast Equity and Equity Derivative Sales at Credit Suisse Securities (2007 to 2012).
Prior to joining Credit Suisse, he was an Executive Director at Morgan Stanley, in charge of the Western Region in the equity derivative sales group (2004 to 2007).
Mr. Christian began his career in 1997 as a market maker on the Chicago Board Options Exchange with Knight Trading.
He was subsequently transferred to the Pacific Coast Options Exchange where he served as a Specialist and Risk Manager.
Mr. Christian was then promoted and transferred to Knight Corporate headquarters in Jersey City (2003) to serve on Knight’s newly launched Institutional Derivatives Sales and trading group.
Mr. Christian received a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Finance from the University of Colorado.
