Taffin had been Executive Vice President of Hotel Operations for Red Lion Hotels Corp.
since September 2003 and served as Executive Vice President of Acquisitions and Development until October 31, 2008.
He joined Red Lion Hotels in 1995 and was Regional Manager from November 1995 to July 1997 and Vice President of Hotel Operations from August 1997 to September 2002.
From August 2002 to August 2003, Mr. Taffin was Managing Partner of Yogo Inn of Lewistown, Inc. He started his hospitality industry career with Red Lion Hotels in 1982.
From 1982 to 1986, Mr. Taffin held various mid-management positions at Red Lion Hotels in Idaho, Washington and Oregon.
He was promoted to General Manager of Red Lion Hotels in 1986.
Mr. Taffin was appointed by the governor of the state of Washington to the Washington State Tourism Commission in 2007.
He served as President of the Washington State Hotel and Lodging Association and a Director of the Spokane Public Facilities District, the Spokane Lodging Tax Advisory Committee and the Washington State Tourism Advisory Committee.
