Panayiotis Athanassopoulos

Panayiotis Athanassopoulos is Chairman of Tellas SA and Professor Emeritus of the University of Piraeus.
He has been Chief Executive Officer of PPC SA since January 31, 2007 and Chairman June 02, 2007.
Dr. Athanassopoulos was a Faculty Member at Loyola University of Chicago and Wright State University as well as Professor of Business and Economics at the University of Piraeus and Chairman of the Management, Banking, Financial Management, and Rector Departments.
He was appointed as Managing Officer of Toyota Motor Corp.
in June 2004.
He joined Toyota Motor Marketing Europe in January 2001 as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer.
Dr. Athanassopoulos joined TOYOTA Hellas in 1986 as an Executive Vice Chairman and served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer from 1989 to 2000.
He has professional and academic experience.
Dr. Athanassopoulos received a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering, an MBA, and a PhD in Business and Economics from the Illinois Institute of Technology.
