Philip A. Pizzo

Philip A. Pizzo is currently the Director at the University of Rochester, KOC University, and the Founding Director at the Stanford Distinguished Careers Institute.
He previously served as the Chairman of Pediatrics at Harvard Medical School from 1996 to 2006, Director at the Foundation for the National Institutes of Health, Inc., and Director at the Ludwig Institute for Cancer Research Ltd. He also served as an Independent Director at Clearpoint Neuro, Inc. from 2013 to 2017 and at Global Blood Therapeutics, Inc. from 2015 to 2022.
Pizzo has also held positions as Physician-in-Chief at The Children's Hospital Corp., Principal at the National Cancer Institute, and Professor at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences and Stanford University School of Medicine.
Pizzo earned his doctorate from the University of Rochester in 1970 and his undergraduate degree from Fordham University in 1966.
