Rafael Metternich

Mr. Rafael Metternich is a Director & Fund Manager at Credit Suisse Asset Management (Switzerland) AG.
Based in New York between November 2015 and February 2019, Rafael served as a Real Estate Investment Manager with a main focus on the US, Canada, and selective markets across Latin America.
In July 2017, he was appointed Head of Acquisitions & Sales Americas at Credit Suisse Asset Management Global Real Estate.
In addition to his function as Head of Acquisitions & Sales Americas, he managed a portfolio of investment properties located in Chile.
Before his transfer to the United States, Mr. Metternich worked as an investment manager in Zurich, where he was responsible for numerous real estate transactions in Europe.
He has extensive transaction experience in value-add investments and core investments.
From 2008 to 2013, he worked as an Investment Advisor and Engagement Manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers in Corporate Finance Real Estate.
During his time at PwC, he was based in Switzerland, Russia, and Poland.
He advised corporate clients on real estate matters and led numerous projects globally.
He studied at Johannes Gutenberg University, Mainz, and holds a Diploma in Business Administration.
