William Tondorf Connolly

Mr. Connolly is an Operating Partner of Atlas and is based in Boston, MA. Mr. Connolly is also a Bain External Advisor providing insight, expertise, and guidance to global financial services clients.
Bill previously spent 20 years at Putnam Investments in a variety of roles including National Sales Manager, President of Putnam Retail Management, and Head of Global Distribution, and reported directly to the CEO as a member of the Operating Committee.
Before that, Bill was Managing Director, Head of Boston Fixed Income Group, Head of Relationship Management at Merrill Lynch.
Mr. Connolly holds a BA from Dartmouth College, an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth, and the CFA designation.
He serves on the Dartmouth College Athletics Advisory Board, the Amos Tuck School of Business Advisory Board, the St. Sebastian’s School Board of Trustees Advisory Board, the Advisory Board of the American Ireland Fund Boston, and the Board of Directors of Theta Delta Chi Corporation.
