Zhak Cohen is a Managing Director on Gallatin’s Equity Strategies team and is on the investment committee.
Prior to joining Gallatin, Mr. Cohen was a Vice President in the Alternative Capital Team at XL Group, a global insurance and reinsurance company providing property, casualty and specialty products, where he was responsible for developing, analyzing and executing M&A, capital market and investment activities in the insurance and asset management sectors.
Mr. Cohen started his career as an Associate at Shearman & Sterling LLP where he specialized in M&A.
He earned a JD from the University of Pennsylvania Law School and graduated Phi Beta Kappa, summa cum laude, from Brandeis University.
He currently serves on the board of Phoenix Holdings Ltd.
(TLV: PHOE1) and its associated The Phoenix Insurance Company Ltd., as well as on the board of Bowhead Insurance Holdings and its associated Bowhead Insurance Company Inc, and is a Board Observer of Tower Hill Risk Management, LLC.
