Alexander Merzlenko

Mr. Alexander Merzlenko is President at Renaissance Capital CJSC.
He is responsible for Renaissance Capital’s investment banking business in Russia.
Mr. Merzlenko is actively involved in the expansion and strengthening of the Firm's relationships with key public and private-sector companies in Russia, as well as increasing cooperation with non-commercial organisations and the authorities.
With more than 17 years’ experience in the Russian investment banking business, he Merzlenko has led the execution of many large and complex transactions, including the privatisation of SG-Trans (the deal is in the process of closing).
Mr. Merzlenko has executed more than 35 deals with a cumulative value of over $25bn.
Before joining Renaissance Capital in 2000, he worked in the investment banking division of Troika Dialog.
Mr. Merzlenko has an economics degree from Moscow International University, and completed the Leading Professional Service Firms programme at Harvard Business School.
