The Pacific Northwest Economic Region (PNWER) is a statutory public/private nonprofit organization established in 1991, comprising five U.S. states and five Canadian provinces/territories. The private company is based in Seattle, WA. PNWER’s mission is to enhance the economic well-being and quality of life of the region’s citizens while protecting the natural environment through cross-border collaboration and innovation. It supports regional tourism coordination, develops tools like the Know Before You Go AI traveller portal, and fosters public-private partnerships to drive regional economic development and innovation.
