Howard Cooper, aged 48 years, was chairman from 1996 to February 2005.
He was President and Chief Executive Officer from 1996 to May 2003.
He founded American Tyumen in November 1996.
He served as a director and president of American Tyumen until the merger with the Company.
In 1994, he was a principal with Central Asian Petroleum, an oil and gas company with its primary operations in Kazakhstan, located in Denver, Colorado.
From 1992 to 1994, he served with AIG, an insurance group in New York.
Prior to founding Teton, he was an independent landman, from 1981 to 1991, who developed oil and gas opportunities in the U.S.
Rocky Mountain Region.
