Paul Buys

Mr. Paul Buys is a Head of the Australian Research at Citigroup Global Markets Australia Pty Ltd. He is a member of the Small and Mid-Caps analyst team.
Paul has experience covering a range of sectors, including Diversified Financials, Professional Services, Automotive, and General Industrials.
He joined Citi in July 2025.
Mr. Buys worked as a Head of Australian Research at Canaccord Genuity (2023-2025) and Head of Australian Research & Deputy Head of APAC Research at Credit Suisse (2011-2023).
Prior to that, he had a range of roles across research and financial markets in Australia, South Africa, and the UK.
He has a Bachelor of Science degree from Rhodes University and a Bachelor of Accounting from the University of the Witwatersrand (both in South Africa).
He is also a Chartered Accountant and a CFA Charterholder.
