The firm is an active, long-term manager that concentrates on large, multi-country transactions which typically have significant operations in Europe even when the principal place of business is elsewhere. They target a small number of companies, seeking a seat on the board of directors and partnering with management to implement the business plan and identify opportunities for value creation. They focus on business fundamentals rather than sector specialization, placing particular value on pricing or cost leadership, demonstrated resilience to cycle downturns, profit improvement potential, and a high quality management team. The firm can invest over €2 billion per transaction and can contribute significant financial reserves to grow an acquired business.
