They invest primarily in equity and fixed-income, complemented by hedge funds, private equity and real estate. The firm's investment managers focus on blue-chip equities and bonds in the UK and continental Europe. All other investments are delegated to third-party funds. Internal research is supplemented with reports from external sell-side institutions. Investment decisions are made by the fund managers, occasionally at the client's discretion. UK equity investments are benchmarked against the FTSE 100, while investments in the US are benchmarked against the S&P 500.
