Fritz E. von Mering

Mr. Fritz E.
von Mering is a Member at CommonAngels, Inc., Chief Financial Officer at Tatara Systems, Inc., and a Managing Director at Miles River Management.
He is on the Board of Directors at Syniverse Holdings, Inc. and MicroFinancial, Inc. He was the COO of Boston Communications Group (BCGI) and has been involved with the telecommunications and wireless industries for years.
As Chief Operating Officer of BCGI, he oversaw the operations of the company's business units tasked with development and delivery of its products and services.
In addition, he had responsibility for the Client Services organization.
Previously, Mr. von Mering was Vice President of Corporate Development, and prior to that he held the role of its first Chief Financial Officer until 1999, helping it execute its initial public offering in 1996 and secondary offering in 1997.
Before joining BCGI, he was Regional Vice President and General Manager for the paging division of Metromedia.
Prior to Metromedia, he held various positions at Coopers & Lybrand a public accounting firm, where he earned his C.P.A. Mr. von Mering was appointed to the Board of Directors of MicroFinancial, Inc. in 2004 and serves as its Audit Committee Chairman.
He has an undergraduate degree in accounting from Boston College and an M.B.A. from Babson College.
