Bollinger is currently the Director of The Pulitzer Prizes and the President of The Trustees of Columbia University in The City of New York.
He also holds positions as the Principal of the American Academy of Arts & Sciences, a Member of the American Philosophical Society, a Governor of The Royal Shakespeare Co., a Trustee of the Institute of International Education, Inc., and the President of The Italian Academy.
In the past, Bollinger served as the Deputy Chairman of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York in 2012, a Director of Graham Holdings Co. from 2007 to 2011, a Director of Educational Testing Service, and a Director of Washington Post Co. He was also a Professor at Dartmouth College from 1994 to 1997, the President of the University of Michigan from 1996 to 2002, and the Dean of The University of Michigan Law School from 1987 to 1994.
Additionally, he served as a Trustee of The Kresge Foundation.
Bollinger completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Oregon and obtained his graduate degree from Columbia Law School.
