Advisory Notice Regarding False Assertions From a Mr. Uwe Gill, To Represent Sumitomo Corporation In Germany

Recently, there have been reported cases in Germany that an individual acting under the name Uwe Gill (and often describing himself as Professor Gill and/or Dr. Gill) has been misrepresenting himself as an agent and/or representative of Sumitomo Corporation and/or other of its subsidiaries and associated companies (the "Sumitomo Corporation Group"). We are going to take necessary actions against these misrepresentations.

Please note that a person under the name Uwe Gill is not a representative of the Sumitomo Corporation Group is not and never has been associated with the Sumitomo Corporation Group.

We would therefore ask all 3rd parties to be vigilant and careful when you receive unsolicited emails or contacts from purported representatives of the Sumitomo Corporation Group, particularly if the name of Uwe Gill is referenced.

The Sumitomo Corporation Group will not be responsible for damages or losses incurred by any engagement with unauthorized representatives.

Kürzlich haben wir von Fällen Kenntnis erlangt, in denen sich eine Person unter dem Namen Uwe Gill (sich oft als Professor Gill und/oder Dr. Gill bezeichnend) fälschlicher Weise als Vertreter und/oder Bevollmächtigter der Sumitomo Corporation und/oder deren Konzern- und Tochtergesellschaften (die "Sumitomo Corporation Group") in Deutschland ausgegeben hat. Wir werden die notwendigen Maßnahmen gegen diese Falschdarstellungen ergreifen.

Bitte beachten Sie, dass eine Person unter dem Namen Uwe Gill kein Bevollmächtigter der Sumitomo Corporation Group ist und nicht mit der Sumitomo Corporation Group in Verbindung steht oder jemals stand.

Wir möchten daher alle Dritten bitten, achtsam und vorsichtig zu sein, wenn Sie unaufgeforderte E- Mails erhalten oder von Personen, die vorgeben Vertreter der Sumitomo Corporation Group zu sein, kontaktiert werden, insbesondere, wenn darin auf den Namen Uwe Gill Bezug genommen wird.
